Why does Konvoro not require a phone number?
Because the communication identity in Konvoro is not derived from a phone number.
Why no address book access?
Because secure connections are created deliberately through invitations, not by automatic contact matching.
Why no existing photos?
Konvoro captures photos directly inside the app, so access to the private photo library is not required.
Why no permanent archive?

Calling, voice messages and capture protection
Can I make calls with Konvoro?
Yes. Version 1.0.6 adds secure calls between existing Konvoro contacts.
Do incoming calls work while the iPhone is locked?
Yes. Incoming Konvoro calls are presented while the app is in the background or the iPhone is locked.
Can I choose an individual ringtone per contact?
Yes. An individual ringtone can be selected for an existing Konvoro contact.
Can I send voice messages?
Yes. Voice messages are recorded directly inside Konvoro. External audio files are not imported as Konvoro voice messages.
What does capture protection mean?
When capture protection is enabled at send time, Konvoro marks new text messages, photos and voice messages sent to that direct contact. If iOS detects active screen recording, mirroring, AirPlay or remote control on the recipient’s iPhone, Konvoro hides the protected content. Playback of a protected voice message is stopped while capture is active.
Does capture protection work in both directions?
No. The switch protects only new content that you send to that contact. Messages sent to you by the contact are protected only if that contact separately enables capture protection for their own new messages. Content already sent keeps its individual protection state.
Does capture protection prevent individual screenshots?
Not reliably. iOS reports an individual screenshot only after it has been taken, so content that was visible may already be present in that screenshot. Konvoro shows a notice after a screenshot is detected. Active screen recording, mirroring, AirPlay and remote control are detected while they are active, and protected content is hidden.
