Connection establishment for secure Konvoro calls has been further improved. Even in network situations where a direct connection between the participating devices is not possible, Konvoro can now establish the connection reliably through the Konvoro infrastructure.

Incoming calls also show the locally stored name of the calling contact.

Call content remains protected and is not stored in the Konvoro system.

Capture protection can be enabled for existing direct contacts. Newly sent text messages, photos and voice messages are marked as protected content for the recipient. If iOS detects active screen recording, mirroring, AirPlay or remote control, Konvoro hides the protected content; playback of a protected voice message is stopped.

Individual screenshots remain an iOS limitation: Konvoro is notified only after a screenshot has been taken and therefore cannot reliably prevent its creation. Konvoro shows a notice after a screenshot is detected.

Messages that have not yet been deliberately opened remain end-to-end encrypted on the server and are not preloaded as a permanent message archive on the iPhone. The retention period can be selected per connection and is limited to a maximum of 24 hours.

Setup and microphone-permission guidance have also been made clearer, your own Konvoro ID is visible in the information screen, and secure calling has been further stabilized after interruptions by other audio or calling services.

Existing Konvoro contacts can call each other securely inside Konvoro. Incoming calls are presented while Konvoro is in the background or the iPhone is locked.

Individual ringtones can be selected for existing direct contacts. Unanswered calls can appear as missed Konvoro calls; Konvoro does not keep a permanent call archive.

Konvoro now supports voice messages. Voice recordings can be recorded directly inside Konvoro and sent confidentially.

Recording deliberately takes place only within the app. External audio files cannot be imported into Konvoro as voice messages.

New voice messages are identified as unread like other new messages. Their read status is updated after listening.

Group creators can now dissolve a group that is no longer needed.

Konvoro now has its own notification sound for incoming messages, making new Konvoro messages easier to distinguish from other iPhone notifications.

Konvoro's operation has been simplified and made clearer in several areas.

Joining groups was simplified and recovery of existing sessions was improved.

German and English help now explains the most important steps directly inside the app.

Invitation links were extended to support opening Konvoro directly on iPhone.

The first public version of Konvoro brings confidential communication to iPhone – without requiring a phone number, without an email address as the communication identity and without access to the address book.
